Labour market policies in the Republic of Bulgaria during the transition period and now to a different extent reflects the needs of the economy. Originally it was developed together with the labor market and generally wore a preventive nature. Later, it includes more active programs and activities. The anti-crisis policy in the country from 2008 to the present, mainly focused on financial stability and the consolidation and severely limits employment support. For example, the National program "From social assistance to employment", aimed at providing employment and long-term social integration of the unemployed receiving monthly social support to participate in certain public activities undertaken by municipalities, public non-governmental organizations or businesses, tracked highlights the practical implementation of some of the most important issues related to the implementation of an active social policy and their efficiency. In addition, it makes some important conclusions about the social system and its relation to economic development, social planning, implementation and evaluation of activities as well as with some perspectives for further development.
